Hey guys, I'm trying to find out who invented this artstyle. I found it on https://www.behance.net/gallery/12984019/What-Space-Really-Looks-Like and it was published no earlier than 2013.
Anyways, has the creator of this wallpaper also invented this style of color gradient/shading? What if I want to use a similar style?

Impossible to say someone could invent such a simple pattern.
Check out Joe Van Wetering's work.

God damn I love this art style so much, it's so perfect.
Nothing is original.

amen
this style is pretty quite omnipresent these days, since it became very easy in css to make rounded corners. I don't think anyone invented it because i saw it evolve gradually
Copyright law in the u.s. applies to fixed works. Not any particular style. You would have to copy it do closely that it is confusing to a consumer in order to violate his intellectual property rights.
In A Nutshell - Kurzgesagt videos use a similar style. You might want to check them out. It's actually even better than the image you posted.
I only watch their videos because of their visuals to be honest (the content is cool too though).

Originality is relative, not absolute
I once saw a video of swerve on youtube, he has a tutorial on how to make these comet thingys..

>I only watch their videos because of their visuals
i do the exact same thing, don't worry

>implying I worry
I have already seen all their videos. My favorites are What Is Life, Immunological System, and Is War Over
They also seem to have some very fitting music, something that I rarely find on videos.
Im not sure if it's worth mentioning but everything is just a slightly different tone of the color. I kind of make stuff like this. Look me up for more information.

kinda off topic, how do you achieve the filter the thread image uses?
