What is the best video editing program?? i need to become a youtube star and am not sure which programi should get for video editting or whatever is the best way to edit videos
If you're doing something simple, iMovie or final cut should be fine. I suggest getting an adobe cloud account. Premier and after effects are the dynamic duo really, but Blender has a sequencer if you have zero budget.
I'm having trouble getting any kind of isometric shapes set up in Illustrator. I've tried several guides and turning snapping on and off yet I still can't get shapes I create to line up at the points, and the lines to meet and not overlap. Does anyone have experience with this?
enable smart guides and follow this
other way would be doing things flat and then use extrude bevel to rotate the shapes around (not sure if people use this but it's way easier since you can save the filter config and apply to multiple shapes or groups)
nigga, just make like an isometric grid.
make a rectangular artboard
add vertical strokes to both ends
object -> blend -> make
object -> blend -> blend options:
- spacing: specified steps [50 or something]
select that shit -> right click -> transform -> shear -> 30deg -> ok
ctrl + c -> ctrl + f -> transform -> reflect
I'm trying to find this pattern on google images, but whenever i type things like "abstract pattern cell beehive" I get either too organic or just regular tiles.
What is it called and where can I find more of this kinda pattern?
Two main groups I identified
serif vs. sans and varying thickness vs. static thickness
Could I get some feedback on my resume layout?
To the left is the grid Ill be using, to the right the blackout placement of text and items.
A CV/resume dump would be nice aswell
Since there is a thread about CV/Resume, I won't create a new one.
Ive just finished this one and have no clue how it looks, since I got some free space where I didn't know what to put so I just add a "thank you for reading this, now get to your phone and hire me!".
What should I do to improve it?
I want to add special effects (nothing huge like corridor digital or anything) just stupid shit like a transparent explosion video over my face or me throwing a 2d sprite of something. I'm obviously not spending assloads of money on Vegas or after effects for something like that. Anything you guys can recommend would be great.
Pic related, basically the only thing I would be adding to a video
Questions That Dont Deserve Their Own Thread
seeing alot of useless threads now that really dont deserve to have their own thread
but theres no place to ask them otherwise.

I'm using Photoshop and I'm trying to make a selection from one layer and move the contents of a different layer to align them properly within the selection, but when I move it, the selection moves as well. It wasn't like this before, driving me crazy.
Sup /gd/! What's wrong with my design?
*I'm making a local cyberpunk themed video game. Pixel graphic.
I want to get a copy of the attached design at a higher resolution.
Can I trace it somehow and scale it up? I figure since the design is hand drawn to begin with the tracing will not ruin the look.
In case it is not already obvious, I am mostly unfamiliar with graphic design and the tools of the trade.
I would appreciate your tips!
I'm not sure whether you want it in vectors or just a higher resolution. You literally can just search for the scene from the movie and find the original picture they used.
Same anon here, did a quick rendition.
I realistically could've traced the whole thing but it's not worth my time as I just wanted to see what I could do in a small amount of time.
I live traced it and it didn't come out that bad.
This is useful for actually achieving my ultimate goal, which is to reprint the design on better material. So thanks!
But I was also interested in how I might create a vector of that image.
So I am trying to transform text, in a way that it looks like the image, in Illustrator. Anyone who can help?
pretty good high res drawing
Hey /gd/ i need help big time , i am new in giving online lecturing, i am math person , so i need to do this transparent hand like in video , how do i do that ? as always Anonymous.
Sooooo i wanna get this fire/flare effect on my logo but i'm fucking up everytime i'm trying to make something like it. Do any of you guys know any methods of doing so?
don't do it. i never seen a decent logo that have flare on it. but if you are making a banner try looking for itzqehzy or mbapsgraphics (http://mbapsgfx.carbonmade.com) on youtube they both made a photoshop pack with different effects (flares, grunge textures, particles etc.) so other people can use on their designs.
b.t.w. your design would look way better outlined see:
square biz cards, cool or lame?
So I've been working for this tubby tub of lard for the past 12 months. She always paid me on time and we'd always make contracts, but 3 months ago she confided that she could pay me higher if we just skipped the paperwork because of the tax.
Skip to today, the end of the month and she basically told me to "fuck myself" because the website "doesn't work". By not working she's talking about the meta slider not showing the latest post because someone forgot to place the post in the FUCKING META SLIDER. It got fixed by the same fuckwit but now she's claiming that it used to be "all broken".
Basically she smiled and told me to fuck myself and if I want any money at all the next month I better suck it up. I quit immediately and now she's fucking with me left and right.
What are my options?
Not a lawfag OP, but I can offer legitimate advice on issues pertaining to freelance work. I've received fairly extensive legal counseling from actual lawfags, in real life, on similar issues.
Despite the claims being made here, you could *possibly* succeed in small claims as long as she's actually using the website. Written contracts aren't wholly necessary there. Small claims can also go up to $5k. But it's a long shot.
Bottom line is; the court is going to ask why contracts have existed before but don't now. If you can provide a good reason for this, then all of the contracts prior actually help you out, because they establish a going rate for your services which she has agreed to in the past. You would need to provide some sort of documentation of you two discussing what would go into the website and shit like that to make a legitimate case. Additionally, even if you can't win money from her in court, you could potentially force her to take the website down, and seek help elsewhere. That doesn't actually gain you anything, but it may feel good.
You would need to rehearse your case several times and make sure you've accounted for anything they might say which has some legitimacy to it. If they make baseless claims, and you provide enough hard evidence, you could actually win your money without an otherwise winnable case simply because judges don't like being lied to.
The case would probably be scheduled 3 months out and if this person is continuing to fuck with you, and they're as big of an idiot as you make them out to be, they'll certainly not stop after receiving the court summons. You'll need to be prepared to pay the fees associated with filing a claim and deal with the fallout between you and your ex client as a result.
Just make sure to ask yourself whether or not all of this effort is worth it. If your work is copyrighted, you could, at the very least, send them a takedown notice to fuck them over.
Good luck and merry christmas I guess OP.
