I was always thinking of making it at least unconventional and distinctive, so I didn't just want to do some cool placement of text with a triangle above it. I've thought about it for a while but I think that there just wouldn't be a way for the client to actually portray the fact that they are roofers if I went with no visuals. I get that roofing is a very ubiquitous business, but I at least want to get some creativity going.

An unspoken thing all Canadians know is that we're all somewhat lazy. Being European will give you a competitive edge in the field.
Bonus points if your minority, female, lgbtq, have a beard and manbun, ride a fixie etc...
It might be a bit of a cultural shock, be prepared to adapt quickly. I know this from roomies who are on work visas.

It's a neat effect. And some album effects are hard to do.
I'm thinking that it had a bright light going on from the right side with a subtle 3D effect going.

lots of different ways, you will find lots of tutoriales with different methods.
I think grabbing the independent color channels and just moving them around a little is the easiest one.

don't use gradients and/or flares on text (unless you have experience)
don't use dark background with dark text and/or a pure white background
it's too boring to look at try adding some contrast (not literally for example changing the size of the word "the")
add space on the sides so it doesn't look cut out
and the font is pretty bad (13 yrl old youtube tier kinda bad)

your use of gradient on the text kicks my butt, the font is the one my friend chose and its on a plain white/dark background just as a base so they can use it on whatever they want! i like the rearranged text u did, idk what u meant by bait

I too am someone who is new to GD.

Anyway heres is my critique.

I think the OP is better than pic 2 because of the contrast between forground and background.

The font style is nice being playfully simple, but lacks a consistency throughout, which is mostly visible on the G and O.

The Font colour is nice.

all in all I would give this a 3/10. Keep practising.

What's up with that rock in the middle and the picture of luggage. Do people really need a picture of luggage at an airport to remind them they're looking at a fucking travel brochure.

Also the family is dull as fuck. Honestly that brochure makes me want to buy a plane ticket to a country far far away from Brazil and go there instead.

some generic family taking pictures by the ocean, a rock formation, luggage.

put more of something more closely related to the culture of brazil.
(and not cartel thugs on mopeds executing people on the street)

please understand that we work mainly with local agencys in foreign countries (we don't deal directly with the final costumer). I tried (poorly ikr) to represent our fields of activity which are Personal/Family and Professional/Corporate travel.
So this brochure is with the main reason to attract other agencys to work with us.
Anyway, id love more suggestions, but dont forget to point out how we could apply that Corporate travel.
Ill be taking the critiques in consideration and trying to show some progress.

The candles are to symbolise the lesser Marketing campaings, as you can see there is a bonfire next to the word marketing, symbolise greater marketing.

my graphic design professor just makes it seem like if you can't design an envelope then you wont work in this field. and I really just suck at designing envelopes.
