I was just changing my mouse settings and I saw this 'Horizontal Scrolling'.
>what does microsoft mean by this?
For mice with retarded side-scrolling wheels
>>62474756
You have to be over 18 to post on this site.
>>62474756
There used to be wheels that could tilt back and forth for horizontal scrolling.

Snap your browser to 1/4 the screen, press control and then use the mouse wheel. You have now witnessed horizontal scrolling.
Most Logitech mouses are still using that, I don't think I saw any other company that does at this point.
I miss that feature on most modern mice.
Well, used to. trackpoint masterrace.

They mostly use it as back and forth now I think.
>>62479528
don't they have it anymore?
my mouse isn't exactly new but allows a little sideways tilt.
and my thinkpad doesn't have this problem :^)

Trackpoints are overrated. I've used a trackpoint on a thinkpad, a blue clit on an HP Elitebook, the trackpad on both of those and a Macbook, as well as a nice mouse.
Mouse will always beat any other cursor input.
>>62474767
I've had my mouse for 4 years and I just realized it has this.
>>62482206
>Mouse will always beat any other cursor input.
>t. never had a trackball
>>62474756
>mouse with second scroll wheel
>software or website with horizontal scrolling without actual purpose of being vertical instead
>this: >>62477618
It's not microsoft's fault, but kys
>>62474756
Just take your mouse and rotate it 90 degrees ccw, then you can scroll horizontally (the bar at the bottom of the screen).
Didn't you know this?
>>62474756
shift+wheel scrolls left/right
>>62482206
Yeah mouse is better in general, but I still miss trackpoint for some activities that need a lot of quick switching between keyboard and mouse.
>>62483768
I have. Makes every action awkward.
>>62484226
Have you used trackball with the ball under thumb or under middle fingers?
>>62484281
Yeah. Still a pain to get around with.
>>62474834
No, I just witnessed zooming.
>>62484323
Which one did you use?
