Is there any actual reason I should switch off Mint? It works fine for me and I don't see any real benefit from changing to another distro since I've already got all of my music n shit downloaded.
guess there isn't one

Linux distros are basically all the same. There's no reason to change because some autists on /g/ said Mint was bad. Use what you like best.

mint is bad

For the most part it's fine, if you don't fiddle around with things too much. The biggest overall problem is probably that its repo and itself are always out of date and lacking some applications here and there.
The biggest issue I've noticed is job queue for my printer is messed up, causing a stall in the actual printing.
I'd say stick too it, but change the theme. Default is ugly.

No need, you brought reddit with you
If you don't see a reason to change then don't do it. The only difference is different look and possibly different package managers. They all can do the same things
Wasnt there something with mint not having good security or not up to date packages?
