Guys, my T420 idles at about 40 Celsius, runs at about 45 when on 4chan, but shoots up to 80 when on YouTube.

On 100% load while using Blender, it got as high as 96. dmesg shows warnings of it getting too hot and throttling.

Even at the hottest temps, the air being blown out is only mildly warm and the chassis never feels hot to touch. Is this normal for an i5-2520M?

So my t420 has been plagued with driver issues since I bought it, formatted a few times, tried everything. Occasionally sound card isn't recognized until reboot, often doesn't wake from sleep.

My first X230 just arrived and most things have been great so far, but the trackpad is doing this weird thingy where it keeps scrolling even after I lifted my finger! Yes, I'm aware that the trackpad is pretty shitty compared to other brands and the trackpoint is superior blah blah blah. E6640 vs X240 vs sony vaio 13

Specs are good enough for all three, but the E6440 is above and the X240 is on the slow part : https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp%5B%5D=1937&cmp%5B%5D=1947&cmp%5B%5D=2095

X240 is a bit small, vaio 13 is good (1kg, 1080p IPS for 13.3")
battery is a bit short on E6640, should be the best on X240 but what I get is random. (I talked to the vaio owner, battery should hold 6h so that's aplus)
Vaio doesn't have vga or RJ45 which is not dramatic (will come with the wifi module) and the E6440 comes with a docking station..
They all have the same price, $310

I'm a bit lost. I love my X200 but the vaio looks good on all aspects, and at the same time the E6440 is more performant but has a bit worse battery life and is 2kg..
