idk why but brushed metal has always felt unpleasant for me. Heck, it anoys me that my laptop has a brushed metal back even though I only ever touch it when hibernating it. In a phone brushed metal would be an instant dealbreaker, and glass is easy to break. Plastic is comfortable.
