Any /g/ayfag bought into Acer? I never trusted the brand (most experience was with shitty sub-500 usd acers tough)
Now I'm looking for a laptop and pretty much the only thing that fits my criteria is the Acer V Nitro Black Edition.
-Sober looks
-GTX 1060
-Les than 1500
Should I pull the triggy?
"the virgin laptop"

Go for it but backup all drivers before you change or upgrade botnet OS. In 2 years acer will stop hosting the drivers.

Please let there be some owners.
It was a pretty perfect laptop until I saw it heats up like crazy.
I have a high end acer laptop and its good what do you want to know?

Acer is fucking terrible. I used to own an Acer laptop. Within two weeks after I bought it, screws started coming out on their own. Shit Linux support. Keys wear out quickly. Shit touchpad. Terrible build quality.
Avoid at all costs. The only worse brand I can think of is Packard Bell.
I am pretty much sure you can get Dell or MSI for this money with this requirements.

not a single one. I'm in the same boat.

Then save for a little more.
In my experience especially with laptops, if you buy cheap you buy twice.

I literally opened newegg and searched for 1060 laptops under 1500, and found shitton of MSI options, few Dells, and ASUS, then I proceed to Russian search (in Russia laptops about 10% more expensive), repeated search and found even more of fucking MSI options. If you don't know how to search or how to use mail, kys.

Now remove every option with a shitty tN panel or sub 70% adobe rgb

Chad doesn't own a laptop. He develops web apps on his smartphone.
I bought the E15 for tree fiddy. I have seen lots of reviews of it on youtube with people playing Overwatch with 60 FPS.
I didn't like the touchpad at first but it's pretty good. I tried a couple of thinkpads and going to look into a zenbook flip too.
So far the pluses
Nice screen
great sound
keyboard/backlight though never use it
battery 6-8 video with lower brightness, 9 for shit posting
light weight
palm rest pretty cool temp
builds looks swanky
Cons
concerned it will get damaged if I put it in a bookbag with other stuff
The con might me being paranoid since my old laptop was a tank. Overall it's a pretty good laptop. I'm only trying other laptops to see if the smaller screen is workable and not too tiny.

Anyone know if this is the MX150 config? Really good buy if so, but I don't want it if it doesn't have it.

Every acer somebody in my family had burned itself after 1 or sometimes 2 yeara.
