Who wants to target the tiny GNU/Linux userbase?
They usually are the ones that know a thing or two about computers anyway.

Anti virus (software blacklist) doesn't work.
Use software whitelist.
Lock down your network so it can only do what you want it to.
Only keep applications you want to keep.
Test updates before you deploy them.
Apply updates when possible.
Keep in the loop of when 0days are revealed and patch your shit.
Don't use "smart" features that isn't necessary.
When you read about exploits, try to understand how they work so you can safeguard against a similar attack.
Be aware of black boxes.
Proprietary software is fine, but only if you work with the people who makes it.
If they are not forthcoming about their protocols etc, stop using them and implement your own.

Windows Vista, best antivirus for Linux.

ClamAV is the best. But then again, it's the only one for Linux that I know of. Of course, realistically, you don't need any anti-virus at all for Linux. But if you want something anyway, or you want to scan for Windows viruses, ClamAV is the answer.

If you want to get a virus on Linux you'd have to write your own. Nobody wastes their time making viruses for a OS when it has 3% market share and all the users are too intelligent to get a virus.
