I just copped an S8 after like 6 years with iPhones and iOS. It may be just me but the 8/X wasn't worth it. No fingerprint scanner on the X and no headphone jack on the 8 was a big turnoff. Combined with the customisation of Android (regardless of phone maker) is way better than iOS although as a new user you'd probably enjoy iOS for a few years.
