I got a new windows 10 tablet.
How do I do an image or a backup of its whole drive? In case I'd like to revert to the state I received it in.

Bump
Create an image using dd™ and write it again when you want using dd™.

but also,
Creating a drive image/mirror remotely would be easy, but I'm using a device that can operate only within itself and I can't unplug it's drive, connect it to a running linux device mirror, replug it back.

If you have a docking station, just copy the partitions using DISM.
Or just make a copy with Clonezilla

After an hour of research
>DISM
Will it support a sata to usb mounted HDD?

Yes, I image surface pro's for deployment this way all the time. Run sysprep first and just make a bootable WinPE usb to capture the system partition with (you may need to adjust the EFI settings to boot to it) and capture it to the usb to sata drive.
Rename it install.wim and copy it over to fresh windows installation media and you'll be able to restore by reinstalling windows should you need to.
