I'm sorry to point this out OP, but it looks like you are confusing innovative design and Apple products. Apple is extremely conservative so an iPhone like this will not be released until the public is used to this design for a couple of years. Of course their take on it will be old already.

this is actually possible.it wouldn't be functional but you could use off the shelf components and fabricate your own PCB or just use thin coated copper lines between the components inside of the outer piece. again though it wouldn't be very functional, you'd be able to get it to turn on and illuminate some pixels and maybe change/move stuff around on the screen but it wouldn't be functional as a phone or anything really.

/g/ would have every right to complain. A see-through screen is a nice gimmick in a movie, but would be frustrating to use in real life. The phone in the pic is also too small by current standards.
