I bought the acer r11 chromebook, and its not that bad. Who else here has had some experience with chromebooks for long term?

Pick one, It'll be dead with in six months, if you're lucky.

i have an acer chromebook

look into a firmware flash that allows you to boot straight into Linux without being nagged that your Chromebook installation is corrupted whenever you start it up.

you bought a literal piece of shit

Bought an acer cb11 that was on display at OfficeMax for cheap @ $110. It's pretty comfy if you don't mind giving your privacy to the Jew.

>10 second boot time
>Access files and docs from the cloud
>10 hour base battery life
>Light weight
>Virus proof
>Guest mode for ultimate porn browsing experience

Also don't fall for the "2GB ram is enough for simple web browsing, checking emails, watching YouTube" meme

Typing from mine right now

I bought the exact same one some months ago, based on high ratings on Amazon, and ability to run Android apps.

It's quickly become our goto for all the run of the mill online shit the wife and I do on a regular basis.

Right up until I ordered it, I came VERY close to buying a Lenovo running Win10, but changed my mind after reading all the reviews of Win10.

Then I looked at a MacBook, but those things are way overpriced for what you get.

So it was basically a Linux machine or a Chromebook. I'm very happy with my purchase.

On a side note, most high schools around here issue Chromebooks to the kids at the beginning of the year, so that's the sort of direction things are going in now.
