honestly, bad handling of crappy third party drivers.

it was fairly good for gaming. probably my favourite windows os. I think its downfall was so much shareware crippling the system with different dll versions and viruses in the shareware. Because microsoft was proprietary with their software this allowed software creators to act the same way.
