You know how the FBI wants to hack your phone or force you to unlock it so they can botnet your ass? You know how forcing you to give your passcode to them is tricky, legally speaking?
Now it's easier than ever for them to access your phone!
>Be in FBI/CIA custody
>They take your iPhone X™
>Shove it in front of your face
>Now they have all your data
See? iPhone X™ makes everything easier than it has ever been!
>implying there isn't a more convenient backdoor
Correct, I do think there's some sort of SOS feature, where you just click the power button a few times or something and it will require passcode to unlock, much like the fingerprint?

iOS 11 has a "cop button" that disables TouchID when activated to prevent unlocking using the fingerprint sensor. Not sure if that'll carry over to FaceID though.

>More concrete evidence that Apple recognizes the limitations of FaceID can be found in two other new features in iOS 11. One requires the user to enter the phone's passcode to trust a connection to a new computer, making it far harder to extract the data from an unlocked phone. The other is an "SOS mode" that allows the user to hit the home or power button five times to disable TouchID or FaceID, depending on the phone's model.

ok that's nice. I was thinking it was buried in some shitty menu and not fast enough.

The issue is why it hasn't been released so far, such a thing is probably out for android for years, same thing with global dark theme, it's like a phone for fucking toddlers, I hate this lack of customization that iOS has.
I tell you, one day they'll only allow stock or paid wallpapers.
If you value privacy buy an iphone. remember that Android is an ad platform for Google.
