Used Thinkpads are ugly and shit (bad battery life, low res / shitty screen, etc.)
Tiling WMs are unnecessary for most use cases and fuck up programs with lots of floating windows.
Linux is completely inferior to Windows and MacOS for any tasks other than editing text files and running commands.
Excessive arguing about programming languages only shows that you are inexperienced. Same thing goes for distros. It's like craftspersons would argue all the time about which hammer to use instead of what to build.

The ITX form factor is pointless, and most people who use it would be better off with micro-ATX. The size difference is small but the difference in the ease of building, working on, expanding, and cooling it is not. Those benefits make using even a full-ATX board despite having only a graphics card an entirely sensible thing to do.
