Hack Forums has been shit for years. Where do all the hackers hang out at?

Because faggot normos took over the word "hacking".

All software cracking, penetration, and reverse engineering is done under another name now that I WON'T post here lest said normo cum guzzlers are lurking.

I guess that the 9999999 x 10^56th time someone went to those forums and opened a thread like "PLZ HALP I NEED A PROGRAM TO HACK MY GIRLFRIENDS FACEBOOK, I KNOW COMPUTERS AND HAVE A WHITE PC" they got tired of that shit and left for greener (and onion smelling) lands.

There was never a hacking culture. Hacking has gone down overall because it got easier to track criminals and security increased. Hacks are done by social engineering now.

Look at how there was no internet uproar over things like "hack-a-thons" being termed. There read no hacker culture to oppose that. Hacker will forever be a normie word to describe people who has higher than normie skill at using a computer

And thats how you become a Equifax hacker. Literally hacking is mostly that. Even Hilary Clinton, one of the most powerful politicians, got hacked by having it on a public server.
>>

>Why does it seem like hacking culture is dead?

Hacking culture died in the mid-1990s.

There was a community of phone phreaks in the early 1970s, and magazines like YIPL (then TAP, then 2600). In the late 1970s the average person could buy a microcomputer and modem, and hacking really started taking off around 1983. By the early-mid 1990s, hackers in Australia, the US and Canada, the UK and Europe were all talking to one another, with some Latin American and other assorted ones as well.

The internet and the web killed off the culture by many means. Sending messages like this one used to be done via BBSs which sat in the bedrooms of teenage boys, usually message sent by other teenage boys. This creates a certain type of culture, and there is a lot of privacy. The Internet is corporate and open. Also, a kid with experience in Unix and/or security but without a CS degree was not able to get work. Now anyone who sits down and really learns the latest Javascript framework and goes to a coding bootcamp can get a job. Many things changed, and the scene faded away. Most people in the scene back then make decent livings, some did very, very well.

To be more clear, it's common tradition for those in the know to make in-jokes by giving false info to those who are not. These "16" levels or whatever are just ways to see how much shit idiots will eat up. Apparently much shit. Why do I say this? Because I believed this when I was young and now I am one who spits out disinfo for fun, just like that.

One thing is true though, of the nephilim.

Here in example is one of such. Notice how it reeks of abovetopsecret nonsense. Much of this is available and are real things, but they're not correctly layered. Line of blood and restricted media can be accessed freely without tor. Most everything under "Closed Shell System" is wrong. These things either don't exist or can be accessed in lower levels.

nowhere in particular, it's not something you're immediately aware of. i hanged with myg0t and patriotic nigras in my earlier days. i've stolen a lot of identities and credit cards, stolen many online accounts through social engineering. found a vulnerability in a server for a hospital that controlled it's cooling stations, sent them a message explaining in detail the vulnerability and how to prevent it. spent the past decade pretending to be multiple personas to the point I don't even remember my own bday. from one of the yahoo data dumps i extracted an email account from a US state representative and fucked him over a bit. one day i was sitting in IRC with some buddies and next minute we hear this smashing noise and it turned out anon got v& for swatting people. later on one buddy from our circle revealed to me he worked for the fbi and showed his badge and told me to disappear so i did. i still steal credit cards, usually buy people games with it in exchange for valuable steam skins, helps with laundering money since it makes me immune as steam warns users when they give items away it's a "gift" and cannot ever be refunded. i miss hijacking IRC botnets.
>>
>>62363337
The actual hacking forums are on Tor and that's where many of them sell zero days and various other bits of information.
But, as I've already said, these requires either invitation (for the best ones), vetting (for the mid-tier) or prior knowledge (for the low-tier).

The hacking community is more academic these days. Plenty of blackhat conference vids on YT. If you don't know what to do, you're probably a noob. Go look at current computer hacking research and find a niche that needs investigating.

I just watched an excellent video talking about the inherent security flaws in common DRAM. It's caused by reverse engineering the data allocation algorithm for the DRAM chips, and then exploiting the latency of the buffers to read data outside your of your protected memory. They showed a neat example of reading *nix terminal input on a VM into a Firefox web browser residing on the bare metal.

Ransomware that could take over ur pc and lock up your hard drive until you payed a certain amount, but at that point you might as well just format the drive offline with another device rather than paying any amount. It's good to use protection like Proxies, VPN's, and Anti-Virus Stuff like Malwarebytes. But also be careful what you download and don't be a afraid to use programs like Sandboxie to protect your pc. (Sandboxie is like a condom for windows that is unbreakable.

If you consider a bunch of skiddies being obnoxious on the internet or some guy with too much time on his hands exploiting weak spots in software for whatever reason an actual "culture" instead of a niche subgroup of computer users then modern time have truly corrupted the mindset of a lot of people.

In theory, anybody can be a hacker since all you do is infiltrate networks which can be as simple as guessing a Wi-Fi password.

True, but my point is that people don't put forth the effort required to achieve results except in extreme cases where the ``hacker'' has a brain malnormity.

Sharklasers/GuerrillaMail leaks IPs because of improperly configured NMAP servers and insecure JS implementations. All of you are either being put on a minor threat watch list or getting your ports sniffed and primed for remote code injection. Even worse, some real fucked up pedo will start doing recon on all of these IPs because the only people who still click on big-tittied OP pic threads are underaged.

Good luck.

>pretending to be in the know in an anonymous forum

its an actual thing that lvl 15, it all comes from an online game where you couldn't get experience if not using exploits, most people thought that those external programs where part of the game until they reached lvl 15 where you had to kill an unavailable boss to progress, some forums still use that game to check your skill because it requires a broad knowledge about memory management and google.

Why aren't you posting a pubkey? Without it I can't have plausible deniability. So you are either a noob or honeypot, would be dumb to risk it.

I'm out

hacking used to be for fun and bragging rights but now its all about national security and compromising important infrastructure
Anybody good either gets caught and fucked in the ass or they work for their country's intelligence agency
