Trisquel is a nice niche thing in theory, but it has two flaws;
>1) It uses really, really old packages based on ubuntu 14.04
>2) Everything is free, aka no drivers, aka no working computer outside a VM or some fancy niche systems

The name reminds me of Triscuits

Stallman doesn't even use a web browser. He literally downloads the page with wget and opens the html file in Lynx.

I feel like there's some sort of hate for Ubuntu. I've been on and off with it but I'm thinking about a minimal install with i3. I've been using it in a virtual box for a while and Its been alright. Im not sure what other distros would be good for this or if it makes a difference.

5/5 breddy gud
When I close the lid of my laptop (running trisquel) and open the lid again, the monitor won't turn back on. That's my experience with trisquel but also the only bad thing. Other than that it's pretty good
I wanted to use it, but didn't have the hardware for full freedom.
