Is GPD Pocket worth its money?
How many anons bought them?
What do you use it for?
too large for a handheld game
too small for a laptop computer
who is this for?
>>62357280
want to buy for traveling and flights.
waiting for price to drop or possible new model w/ better cpu
Yes and no depends what will you be using it for ?
>>62357408
It's not for gaming.
The gpd win it's meant for vidya
>>62357428
This. Sync it with your main laptop, and you have a good backup.
I wouldn't mind one for playing roguelikes or older games while on the go.
Really though I may as well just get a used netbook for cheaper if I want to do that.
This pos is netbook2 eletric bugaloo.
Useless for serious work, useless for gayming.
For browsing the web get a good tablet.

if the keyboard wasn't islanded they could have fit something realistic on it.
what a waste
doesn't the linux version require proprietary drivers for the kernel?
>>62357280
The device is overpriced for what it offers. It should cost 300-375$.
It's also a gimmick. A phone is equally useful and a non-meme sized laptop is better, more powerful and more useful. There is no reason to buy this.
>>62357685
>worries about proprietary drivers on proprietary hardware
It's irrelevant.
>>62357280
I bought one, loved it until I bricked it flashing de-AMT'd bios.
>>62358160
where do you get a de-amt bios?
Im sure you can flash it back externally
>>62358419
Modified GPD's bios with me_cleaner.
> Im sure you can flash it back externally
That's the plan. It's a pain in the ass because the 25Q64FW chip is 1.8V and you need to convert from a 3.3V flasher.
I'd like to have a laptop-lite to put in my purse as a portable supplement to my desktop. Laptops are pointless to me. But for $500, I'll make do with just my phone instead.
The people this is applicable too is so low.
Men will carry a backpack and just have a laptop. Most women just live off either iPhone or Macbooks.
The amount of people who have use for 'more useful than a phone, less useful than a laptop and fits in a small place' is so small.
