I don't know keykit but it looks like you could make something similar with max/msp or even puredata, if you put in a bit of work.

That looks more like a somewhat smart automatic accompaniment thing or something, rather than a deeply programmable generator/sequencer such as keykit.
There's also Artwonk but it's very obscure and developed by a single guy who is now blind.
And maybe look into Composers Desktop Project and Soundshaper, though that is more focused on audio manipulation instead of midi as far as I can tell.
