You don't because it's drm cancer and you shouldn't use it if you respect your freedom. Damn, it's like you want your right to be taken from you...
>>
deezloader

Holy Hell I can convert my spotify playlist to a youtube playlist then use a youtube URL batch to download said MP3s.
THIS IS THE MOST UNDERRATED COMMENT IN THIS THREAD
>>62338180
>>
>>62337946
why? Why not just use something like soulseek or a private tracker
>>
>>62338398
I'm not OP but I can estimate his answer based on my experience.
I believe he chooses to use Spotify because it is his personal choice.
>>
Export playlist to csv, record it in real time using line out output and tag it. Done this on 80 hour playlist, worked perfectly, but obviously took 80 hours to rip it.
>>
>>62337946
what did they do to the web player? it sounds like all audio files in it has gone through 10000 compressors and/or lossy volume normalizers

How do you know?

spotify-ripper still worked like a moth ago. I haven't used it much since deezloader is a thing though.

Oh look, we have an intellectual in our midst.
(I hope you aint wearing that fedora inside. Its bad manners to wear a hat indoors)
>>
>>62338648
thats not the problem. the problem is that the spotify files are not original rips but modified normalized shit and no bitrate will make that sound good.
>>
>>62338642
Someone forked it here since the original got taken down.

It's hard, but that's the point. You have to record lossy from the output stream if you want to download mp3s from Spotify.

If you want the actual files, either 320 or lossless, you could try Google Play or Tidal. They don't have anywhere near the same DRM as Spotify.

t. Worked for a label, and we loathed both services for having little to no DRM that made ripping 320s and FLAC really easy.
>>
>>62338774
why do these music streaming services like spotify use so much drm but youtube hosts same shit without drm?
>>
>>62338913
and the quality of files downloaded with youtube-dl is much better than those spotify free.
>>
>>62338931
Which isn't very hard. Youtube audio quality is still pretty shit. The quality is also really inconsistent.
>>
>>62339004
music videos uploaded by the big audio labels have good quality and normie user uploaded have worse because they upload lossy files that get converted by youtube.
>>
>>62338913
>but youtube hosts same shit without drm
For now. I really should start downloading shit I want to keep when there is still time...
>>
>>62338774
So is there any way to download from Playmusic/Tidal? Like a python script? Or Youtube-dl?
>>
>>62338931
For all intents and purposes, Youtube has "DRM" in the fact that the files are really, really lossy. Just because Youtube2mp3 converts to "320" doesn't mean the source files are actually "320" (It's usually something close to 128kbps AAC I believe).

Spotify has much higher quality streams and the added DRM makes it harder for scene groups to rip and upload to torrent sites. We didn't so much mind individuals ripping streams for their own use from YouTube or whatever, but just the added annoyance when scene groups ripped actual 320 and FLAC audio streams from Tidal and Google Play, and uploaded them to torrent sites - which means the original copies of the files that we distributed to online stores like iTunes were now available for free from torrent sites.

Usually it was inevitable, and we "tolerated it" but we did have some communication with Google and Tidal to get them to add DRM to their audio streams.

There are a few programs that scan what song you are listening to and search for torrent downloads of that song, but they are spotty at best and don't always deliver the requested song, not to mention the risk of downloading malware and viruses.

If you are so desperate to download songs illegally you are better off going the manual route.
>>
>>62339526
It's still a lot easier to convert your Spotify playlist to a Deezer playlist and download it as 320kbit/s mp3s using Deezloader.
>>
>>62337946
People seem to be stuck in the late 90's early 00's by recording the sound coming off their speakers.
Use your playback device and record the audio playing the full song then just fucking save it. Ta-da stupid shits
>>
>>62340275
its much easier to record it from the analog speaker cable than from a drm stream.
