Hi there, I have been using the i3 3227U model for 4 years as my main machine and I must say it is very capable. It is my only machine and I still use it to this day (willing to upgrade to a T470 some day).

I run with 12GB of RAM and a 240GB SSD and it is blazing fast under many Linux distributions and Windows too (if you're interested)

I am writing to warn any potential buyers with the problems this device comes with, the first problem is the hinge. I had to get mine replaced and many other 100 computers in my school also had to get them replaced due to the manufacturing. Also the battery is shockingly bad as even on my second brand-new battery, I now barely get 3 hrs. I believe Lenovo hasn't properly designed the battery's of the same calibre as the X and T series thinkpads.

Other than that, I'd recommend the X230 or greater over this if you're after that newer GPU. The laptop is solidly built but I'd advise against it.
