If you plan on using that computer as strictly an internet/workstation then ya its not bad.

If you want to watch movies n shit I wouldn't recommend it, unless black bars dont really bother you. Similar thing with games I'd imagine, although honestly most new games probably support ultra wide resolutions (I could be wrong though)

Most movies are in 2.35(2.40) format and that fits ultrawide perfectly. Normal screen is about 1.85 format and that's a standard for 16:9 broadcasts. Ultrawide adds more space to 16:9 and essentially makes your screen 2.4 cinemascope screen. Most of the modern (and lots of older) games support 2560x1080/3440x1440 resolutions perfectly but now once in a while you will need to tinker a bit to make them work properly. It's a solid choice and in some games the extra wide view is really nice. It can be hard to go back to 16:9 after that. But it depends, if you play get 21:9 but if you are doing work then 2 or 3 normal 16:9 panels are more suitable for productivity.

I'm using 2560x1080 because 3440x1440 is too much for even GTX 1080 when playing. Here's a shot from Wildlands. Extra space is nice for idling, you can browse and watch stupid chinese cartoons at the same time on same screen. However for 3d animation I would get 2 separate screen. Not sure about how it works when coding, maybe 21:9 is okay if you have intelligent windowing system such as Ratpoison or similar.
