Void or Arch ?
>>62321526
Void because no systemd
Real simplicity or simplicity for the devs?
>>62321526
Depends on what you're trying to do with them.
Void is pretty comfy. The only reason I'd go back to Arch is the AUR, if for some reason I couldn't find a package in void's package manager or srcpkgs
Void. No systemd. A truly minimal distro. Lots of packages and when packages aren't available, building then is easy even for normies like me
>>62321526
Neither. You already using a meme OS, so at least try to use a none meme distro.
Fedora, Debian or Ubuntu. If you must choose between the two, Arch. Don't bother with dumb hobbyist distros unless all you do is screenfetch with your waifus.
>>62321526
VOID!!!!!!!!!!!
I've used Arch for 4 years and finally moved to Void last month. Void is awesome. Fuck systemd.
>Chromium
Arch: 61
Void: 58
Why use a hobbyist distro with outdated packages?
If you like one you'll enjoy the other.
If you don't like systemd you should use Void.
>>62322397
>GCC
Stable: 7.2.0 since Aug 14, 2017
Arch: 7.1.1 with patches
Void: 6.3.0
They're both always out of date.

Gentoo
Is it rolling release? Can it use bluetooth without systemd?
Does void run well in a vm? I've got a big project that I'm working on so I can't dual boot or anything?
Is the installer CLI like gentoo/arch or is there a install script like OpenBSD?
Why are packges like Chromium still only offerering running legacy versions on void?
>>62321526
I need a new distro because reasons, convince me to use void instead of going full autism with gentoo
>distro for men who need to get shit done with the most recent binaries
>distro for autistic trannies who are constantly crashing X
Arch is the clear winner here. How can Void even compete?
Void or Gentoo. FUCK Systemd.
>>62321526
Arch became pointless with SystemBloat.
Void, because it comes with runit out of the box
>>62323311
But Arch is autistic too.
Whats so wrong with systemd?
>>62321526
Void is pretty good, but I'm addicted to AUR. I'm using Arch but with openrc.
>>62324427
Oh yeah, stability won't be an issue there.
>>62325254
>using rolling release distros
>caring about stability
It's more stable than anything with systemd anyway.
Void is a great distro, but its void of packages
>>62321526
Artix
>>62325271
I was under the impression that Arch devs are making it more difficult to use openrc
>>62321526
Unironically gentoo
