Ok so now that /G/ hates vanilla firefox and with all the new fire fox versions that recently released, which are WE switching over to as a whole?

I have literally just uninstalled Waterfox and gone back to vanilla Firefox.

No. After enabling multiprocess, Firefox has never been faster and smoother for me.

Best choice, but then where to from there? This browser has everything I want, so customizable. It's also one of the few remaining that let me still use Java and shit to play some old nostalgic browser games.

I went to download Pale Meme and saw this. Says 32-bit would be better for underpowered computers.
My laptop has
>i3 2.10GHz
>integrated graphics - Intel HD 3000
>but still a 64-bit system

1) Would 32-bit Pale Meme really be better on my laptop than 64-bit?
2) Would that apply to Firefox as well, which I currently am using the 64-bit version of?

>update to Firefox 55 after being nagged for weeks

This is really starting to piss me off.
First they removed support for setting your own homepage. I tolerated this because there was a plugin to fix it, and that's one of the reasons I loved Firefox - it was customizable.
Now they broke the plugin.

All I want is a simple web page with shortcuts to my most used sites. That's fucking it. Why can't I have this, Mozilla?

I've used Firefox for over a decade. I put up with their shenanigans over the last few years, but it's starting to get really fucking annoying.

It's like they are purposefully trying to kill their userbase.

That's the goal of the SJW mentality, they want to kill the patriarchy userbase and they have pretty much succeeded.

I use firefox developer edition.

I have no idea what the fuck happened, but firefox got just as fast as chrome for me in one of the previous upgrades. Maybe it was a hardware bug that was fixed.

Hopefully IE dies soon. I want to use CSS grid soon. (The ancient proprietary spec IE has implemented doesn't count). Grid combined with Firefox's new grid inspector finally, after years of shitty float-layouts which were basically hacks, finally makes creating layouts for websites a breeze.
I can't believe it took so long.

I've been using nightly for over a year and it hasn't crashed yet, nor have I had any issues since the only addon I use is uBlock Origin and the dev is very fast at keeping up even with nightly firefox. The abandoned addons won't work with stable firefox either (soon), and all popular and relevant addons have been ported or have an equally good alternative now.
As for development features/options, they're there if you're interested but you don't have to interact with them. Any new browser feature will be available to you sooner than on stable builds though.
