The third picture is the sum of the previous two, on the left side it's a positive amount and on the right it's negative. On the first row it's +1 black -3 white, +2white -1 black, so the third image is 0 black and -1 white. On the second row iit's +1 black -3 white, then +2 white - 1 black so the sum is just -1 white in th last picture

And no, I'm not salty because I've got a low score from them, I've got 148 points. Part of the reason why I consider it worthless.

No, IQ is the most accurate measurement of a psychological concept we call intelligence and intelligence is what we call your ability to learn, use logic and have be verbally fluent. The last one wasn't tested with this IQ test.
Of course it has it's faults and errors (like any measurement) but it's still useful for whoever cares about this kind of stuff. It's good enough, our best estimate.

In the age of camera phones, sightings have actually gone down. This implies that most sightings are bullshit. However, sightings increased drastically after World War 2 and throughout the 1950s and 1960s, which was precisely when there were a lot of nuclear blasts and bomb tests, which are visible from space.

Anti-vaccination rhetoric all stems from Andrew Wakefield, a man who has been struck off as a doctor because his research was so flawed.
>Illuminati
It's scarier to think that nobody is actually in control, which is the real truth.
>uncertainty principle
Why does the universe owe us certainty? If we can't handle ambiguity, that's on us.
>CS topic
With computers, we have all effectively been promoted to being the boss of several peons; it's just that the several peons are virtual. No-brainer jobs are disappearing, and aren't being replaced. Universal Basic Income is a good way to fix this, but I don't think it would work because too many people would still want to supplement their income by continuing to work.

It's basically just addition and subtraction.

In the first column the white squares on the left from the first box cancel out the white squares on the right in the second box, the two black squares add.
In the second column the white squares on the right cancel the white squares on the left, the black square on the left cancels the black square on the right, so its empty.
Third column, the white square on the right cancels the white square on the left, so two black squares on the left.

>Most recent studies that have claimed increases in intelligence after a cognitive training intervention rely on comparing an intelligence test score before the intervention to a second score after the intervention. If there is an average change score increase for the training group that is statistically significant (using a dependent t-test or similar statistical test), this is treated as evidence that intelligence has increased. This reasoning is correct if one is measuring ratio scales like inches, liters or grams before and after some intervention (assuming suitable and reliable instruments like rulers to avoid erroneous Cold Fusion-like conclusions that apparently were based on faulty heat measurement); it is not correct for intelligence test scores on interval scales that only estimate a relative rank order rather than measure the construct of intelligence.

I don't see how it could possibly be applicable to my mom seeing an increase comparing herself to a static book when she has consistently better results.
Anyway you should absolutely quote this part as its the core to the argument:
>[...]The scores likely are a bad estimate of the student's ability. If the student retakes the test sometime later when well, does an increase in score mean the student's intelligence has increased, or that the newer score is now just a better estimate?

I find the guy writing a bit snarky. Demanding a ratio scale of intelligence is just unrealistic. His critique of studies he read is fine though. If they don't cover what he says they don't then they're pretty shit studies though.

If you don't even understand the English language then I should draw your attention to the proverbial idiom about the pot and the kettle.

I wouldn't be surprised if the answers were graded, so the correct answer carries the most weight while other answers that would be the result of misidentifying the patterns would get lower weights until there's one that's the absolute worst answer.

It just makes more sense to grade it this way.

fluid intelligence is a measure of ability to acquire new skills
crystallized intelligence is a measure of ability to use the acquired skills
so intelligence is more of a meta-skill. saying "math is a more useful skill" makes little sense in this context. especially because mathematical skill is highly correlated with intelligence

Its a shame. I watched yugioh abridged again for nostalgia reasons (sucks way more than when I was a teen) and every episode with a female voice actor in them just sucked all the fun out of it. They were either given really bad plain dialogue or the voices they made just weren't funny.
And it struck me. Outside of ventriloquist performances I've never heard a woman make funny voices. Trying to imagine the gender bender of the abridged shows or TFS is just not something I'm mentally capable of doing. Its so weird. I don't see any tangible reason why that'd be. All these shows have plenty of male VAs doing female characters to OK effect. But the opposite just doesn't work.
Also reminds me of the Ghostbusters movie. I don't know if its just poor direction or what's the deal but that was nowhere close to being funny. And its completely at odds with the original.
I want answers to this crap. I want funny women.

It's probably not as simple as "correct answer is points, incorrect answer is no points". It's probably ranked on how close to the correct pattern you are, so by just clicking randomly you are just wasting your time, not proving any point.

Though I would be interested to see if you actually did better or worse if you took it seriously.

Some people think it's bullshit that everyone here scores over 90%.

What they are not realising, is that most people are dumb as fucking dog shit. "Regular" people are unbelievably stupid, so being over 90% is not a big deal at all. If you are not at least over 95% then you are a brainlet, not two ways about it.

To base the result on the general population, they'd have to administer the same test to a representative sample of the general population. It's much easier and cheaper to just score you among your peers.

Ignore rows and columns. Circle, triangle and bucket are the base shapes.
First transformation is flipping both sides horizontally, all three of those exist in the matrix.
Second transformation is flipping the right side both horizontally and vertically. The bucket is missing. The answer is 3.

How much of a sadsack do you have to be to actually believe this horseshit? You have to have an unscientific test validate your identity? There is a strong scientific consensus at this point that the IQ test doesn't even measure intelligence.

>objectively bad at recognizing patterns
It doesn't even matter if I received a high or a low score on the test, because there is nothing objective about the test at all. If homo sapiens survived this long, it wasn't because of circles and squares on a webpage. This kind of "pattern recognition" is fundamentally idiotic.
>>
>>62325687
ThatTheJoke.jpg
>>
>>62339895
There's also a strong scientific consensus that there's a strong correlation between IQ as measured with Raven's matrices and academic achievement.
Raven's matrices are about as objective as it gets. That's the entire point. They are an extremely distilled form of pattern recognition. I don't know whether or not it would help you kill a boar but whatever it tests, it does a good job at testing it.
