is acer inherently bad as a monitor company? im looking through this item an it seems to be exactly what i want other than being made by acer who i have a distrust for am i overlooking something here? and will any of this even be relevant in feburary when i get my tax refund? please dont suggest anything else unless it has the same features at a lower price i wil not compromise

No worse than any other. The general standard of quality control is absolutely appalling though. Also consider that most monitors of the same spec use the exact same panel. All those endless 27" 144Hz IPS monitors use the exact same AU Optronics panel underneath.
