fast startup is on desu so no shutdown/reboot so is looks like mine running almost a month

Yes, I already know about this. I used Arch for about a year with zero issues. That's when I realized the "ARCH IS UNSTABLE DURRRR" meme is just a bunch of computer illiterates, or people who flat out never even used it.

I have 24GB and still use i3+xfce, 16GB is allocated to guest when running windows in a VM with GPU passthrough.
Tried a bunch of desktop environments and despite having resources to spare I feel right at home with i3.
Only thing I miss from full blown DEs is the graphical workspace switcher that shows you a thumbnail grid so you can quickly tell the contents of a workspace at a glance.

it depends what you have installed.
I tried plasma with wayland and it was god awful on my system, randomly locking up and crashing with no survivors.
i3+Xfce on the other hand has been pretty stable for 6 months and counting now without any major issues.
The only annoying part is manual intervention which prevents me from completely automating updates.

I have 2600 packages and I'm on dwm, have zero games and zero proprietary shit. I barely have the necessary development tools for work and own projects. That being said, I'm on Debian so that basically doubles the package count as dbg and dev packages are split, unlike Arch, which always packages them with the main package.
