There is no point in buying high end smartphones anymore. I use a Xperia Z2 from 2014 and it still has better specs than a current Iphone. 3 GB RAM is plenty for a music player. It should be sufficient even for a heavy user.

total out the door for everything was $289cad($240us). monthly bill for 4gb data shared is $177 a month after tax, for 2 phones and a lte tablet.

It is for a business, and my boss wanted the keyone, which both of those that you reccomended dont have.

Its a BUSINESS plan. not a consumer plan. that means unlimted everything plus that data, and the data is flexible between the phones and the tablet, which again, is being used as a point of sale in the field.

Koodo and fido also dont have the phone selection(my boss wanted the keyone) that rogers has.

Our bill with virgin was 180 for the past 2 years anyway, and its all a business write off.

Technically youre right, it would be cheaper, but A) I gotta business too run and theres enough shit to take care of in a normal day than shopping every carrier for all their bullshit, because they all fuck you one way or another. and B) Almost all carriers plans end out roughly the same within margin of error after tax over 2 years anyway.

Taking into consideration performance numbers of synthetic benchmarks. The S8 shits on every other device yet it sports a basic ARM GPU that shits around the same GFLOPS as Xbox 360's GPU did. The Snapdragon variant shits even more (quite a lot more actually) yet in real world usage... it doesn't seem to perform the same. When the Note 8 came out it came packed with 7.1.1 and Samsung UX 8.5. Apparently, UX 8.5 is a ton smoother compared to 8.1 or 8.2 (sever samsung S8s and S8+s get 8.2 but 0 changes for some reason) and the hardware backing it up allows it to both run really intensive applications and deliver a premium experience to the user. Calling it shit because it doesn't sport a dual core with 3000 score in geekbench but scoring 1000 lower (which... let's be honest, isn't going to damage any experience. You can't simply imply everyone will convert videos on their device, that's blatantly dumb... and the difference between the S8 and an iPhone 7+ and the future iPhone 8... is very minimal. You can't simply say those extra 5 saved seconds made the difference.. .or else you're extremely dumb).
