It looks like one of Intel’s marquee foundry customers just jumped ship. SemiAccurate has been saying that Intel’s vaunted 10nm process is not commercially viable, now we are seeing the first fallout.

intel just need a bit more time and with ryzen not being more than a footnote theres nothing to worry about, no need to rush
Charlie is becoming more and more bitter but he isn't wrong.

It doesn't mean it will be in research by 2015 but out by 2015

So they're a little behind but for good reason. AMD are not even close to a 10nm lithography. Why put out new tech when they can just wait for AMD and then beat them? But then again maybe in general it's becoming more and more difficult to create smaller dies. How small can you go, seriously? 1nm?

They'll be on Global Foundries 7nm tech late next year with Zen 2.

kek, intel's 10nm is a fucking disaster, their yields are so low that they'll only release shitty laptop chips next year which don't even have any advantage over their 14nm ones
>>62308436
a three year delay is not little, and ontop of that a three year delay where the only launch products are low power laptop chips. Server and desktop lines cancelled, no 10nm for them until Icelake in 2019
