So, i bought a P70 a little while back and man . . . this thing wants to update constantly.
Literally every time i turn it on its updating. Just not i opened it up and the bitch was updating the BIOS.
Out of all the Lenovo bloatware still on the device what should i get rid of? There's an ass fuckton of it. And do i really need to be installing updates nearly twice a week?

We're not your tech support, and certainly not your Windows 10 tech support. Ask this on https://reddit.com/r/windows. Also install Fedora.

Agree. Install a fedora on your head

Fuck windows 10, its the Lenovo suite shit thats updating.

Install gentoo
If you're adamant on sticking with Windows then format a USB drive and put Windows 10 on it. Now format your laptop then reinstall a clean Windows 10 installation from the USB drive. Once you have Windows 10 installed again, install all Windows updates then uninstall skype preview, onedrive, all of the junk games they install now install Lenovo System update and run a scan but only update critical things i.e audio driver, chipset driver, bluetooth/WiFi drivers, battery firmware. Disable automatic updates. Check in Windows administrative tools task scheduler to disable any scheduled updates. Now go into group policy and go to Windows Updates and disable automatic updates, set it to only notify you.
You cannot do a clean Windows 10 installation from within Windows 10 btw. It will always keep Lenovos bloatware rubbish, to get around it you need to format the whole drive then install from a clean ISO from USB or optical storage.

I got the laptop to run Siemens software shit for work. Windows 10 is kind of a requirement.
Cool, Basically all the Lenovo shit is worthless right? The Backup shit, the battery tender shit . . . its all trash right? Basically all i think i would want is the fingerprint scanner. InB4 Muh NSA
Why would you not want drivers custom tailored to function perfectly with your system and a problem free bios?
>>62301709
Yes. However Windows should install drivers for the fingerprint that will suffice. And sadly yes. practically all of it is rubbish. I have a t440p and it was slightly sluggish until I done a clean install of Windows 10 via USB drive, removing all of Lenovos garbage bloatware and now it's so snappy and fast and battery life is immensely better (at least 20%)

Fucking newfags I swear...

install gentoo
Thicc

Get a better model

>install Lenovo System update
Why not just grab the individual driver packages from the support site and install them yourself? It's not exactly a difficult nor recurring task and that way you have one less program lying around on your HDD, and for what it's worth one of the older versions used to behave really poorly and present a nasty security risk.
Dont forget the preinstalled lenovo malware...
