Lol I guess apparently to make life or devs easy, in which case they should just develop for mac or windows instead of linux
I used to be annoyed by the Arch dev's reply here, but now I'm pretty much on his side. The developer centric nature of arch is part of what makes it great. While you might be screwed if you're purely a user, they do a good job of letting users act as developers with stuff like AUR.
Also, the distro HAS to keep things simple from a dev perspective because they don't have a big corporation like Red Hat or Canonical behind them. They can't afford to support every combination of every possible package and still have a usable distro. For all the meming about arch breaking shit all the time, if youre using official packages, breaking stuff is incredibly rare.
The reason I use arch is for the bleeding edge packages, pacman, and the AUR. Out of the box, it gives me everything a developer wants without making me jump through hoops like other distros do.

which devs? There is no good software for GNU/Linux anyway so I would rather have a non systemd system than make life of useless devs of free software easier. But that's just proving your point.
I installed Antergos because I like pacman and didn't feel like installing Arch.
I'd switch to Parabola but don't know how it would perform because GPU is Nvidia.

nouveau is a pretty good driver, works better than the nvidia one except for 3d-acceleration.
