Airbrushes are just expensive for one worth a damn. I recently put together a spraybooth and airbrush system with a solid compressor for about $500 and wouldn't really cheap out on that, but you can really start with a single razor knife and some airplane cement and just get to it. You can get an acrylic paint kit and start with brushes without investing in an airbrush. I love building models and I'm really enjoying the airbrush, but it was a significant investment because I've been building and painting models for like 20 years and also have other plans with the airbrush.

There are two of them and their physical size doesn't matter if they're still properly rated.
