How many lines of code have you written in the last week anon?
Around 2k500.
Don't know how many I've actually written, but my git log says I've added about 150 loc
>>62280072
>2k500
what?
>>62280008
Maybe about 15 lines in a bash script?
I normally program more, but I haven't bothered much this last week in particular.
>>62280008
I took a long weekend so like 800 maybe
>>62280008
i addedprofile=opengl-hqto mpv.conf, does that count?
2 lines of updating my journal
>>62280072
Are you dumb kid
-2377, i'm proud of myself
>>62280008
About 100 for work and maybe 30 for fun projects.
>>62280008
>measuring productivity by lines of code
this is yet more proof that the reason software is going to shit is because people never read brooks
>>62280072
>>62280105
>>62280585
what's the point in sending these numbers without mentioning programming language? do you think python script requires same amount of code lines as c project?
>>62280888
No one asked.
>>62280008
All of them
~5K
I have a lot of things I should be working on so instead I procrastinated and wasted my time programming. I'll probably be dead soon.

>making assumptions on what people are infering from line count
>jumping to some conclusion on this basis
lel
god forbid we have a lite topic
nobody said anything about productivity
>>62280775
>write 30
>delete 20
>write 2
>delete 2
>write 10
>run
>delete 20
>write 30
better question would be how many we've nuked

Every time I refactor a big chunk of code I copy it to another file named "dead code" first, no matter what file it came from it all goes into this graveyard. I started doing this to see how much time I was spending on rewriting rather than just writing, I don't know why but it's interesting to see how big the file is when I'm done and I have a big chunk of fragments of bad design.
>>62280008
>last week
Probably 2500 or so.
Doing a lot of Java and Android projects so that's that.
>mfw too intelligent to use line breaks
>>62280008
Probably a few hundred lines of Java and C++. Mostly cleaning stuff up and optimizing
>>62280008
bout 300 lines of C for talking to SPI devices
been on an EE kick, designing stuff in kicad and shit.
>>62280008
50~100 lines of Pascal, 100~200 of VBA in school.
>>62280008
A few dozen I guess.
>>62281079
This is a cool idea and I'm going to start doing this as well
about 1k, python
2,594 lines of C and 906 lines of x86 ASM, working on an OS. Haven't been doing much in the last couple of days though.
>>62280008
>tfw majoring in comp sci
>haven't actually written a line of code in over a year
>feel like I'm forgetting languages
>keep confusing syntax across C derivatives in class
>>62280135
Same nigga, we can hope.
None but I'm about to because holy shit the asus mouse drivers have the absolute worst software I've had the displeasure of using.
People give razer synapse shit but at least it works, goddamn.
>>62280072
>actually makes the shorthand version longer
wew
I usually add ~100 lines and delete ~200. Does that mean i'm writing -100 lines?
>>62280008
10,000
but they were all fizzbizz
400 lines of pong + 600 line of breakout of c++&sdl2 and 90 lines of arduino for an alarm clock and rubber ducky
>>62280008
Lets see
>rewrote my script to rip and download anime from a website that i often visit
>fiddled around with stm32, nothing major
>made a hello world app in android studio to make sure i wasnt forgetting how to do stuff
Thats about it
>>62280102
for some reason, i too have been like that lately
I used to program a lot more in the past, but for some reason i just havent been getting the, "hey why dont i make this" feeling for some time
I haven't written anything in JavaScript but I've been learning the Linux command line and becoming more comfortable deploying LAMP stacks from scratch. Does that count? Guess it does because it involves a tiny bit of php
> >1,000 lines of C for a some octree shit for personal projects
> a couple hundred lines of GLSL and C++ for another personal project
> a ton of work in ida because I hate myself
> a couple hundred lines of javascript for work
> some tweaks to my bash scripts for work
i hate my life
>>62280008
does html count? Then 1.
>>62280008
About 600-700 in C++, and a couple in Javascript and HTML.
>>62280008
Maybe 10 lines of script, including logging.
>>62280072
