when's the last time you had a computer virus, /g/?
by virus im going to assume you mean windows, so about 2 years ago
>>62260272
never
10 years ago when i torrented. I only need a nulled adobe creative suite and office so that would explain why I have not had a virus in so long lel
8 months ago
I downloaded an unverified torrent, ran the executable, a cmd prompt opened for a half second then disappeared and my computer CPU fan went fucking crazy.
I immediately shut off the computer, booted linux, updated a backup, and then turned my computer back on to see what would happen
turned out it was ransomware
So I reformatted and reinstalled
i think my last virus was in 2003 desu

Don't you get tired of having those drawings up all the time?
>Oh, time to post a screenshot, better open up one of my thousands of Loli images just to let others know who my waifu is, even though I have a wallpaper of that exact same waifu
>Oh and I need her in my browser too
>Also, no one else cares who my waifu is, but I need my ego stroked anyways
never
>>62260419

>>62260434

>>62260424

Currently have plenty on my windows machine. But idgaf I use it less and less every day
you'd have to be really clueless to get a virus in 2017

when i was using Norton antivirus
>>62260272
From you stupid mother fuckers tried to install Windows 10ltsb and tried to activate windows, completly fucked my system.
>>62261374
Don't use KMS or Russian shit to activate it. Don't be a Jew and buy a cheap key on eBay what's wrong with you.
>>62260272
back in 2005
> when i compiled the source code of a virus. (i think it was Blaster )
I accidentally installed time4popcorn on Linux
>>62261511
What's wrong with KMS? It works just fine.
>>62260272
2005. It was called "Norton Antivirus." Took me 3 full days to completely remove it.
15 years or so.
It's called windows, it always tries to "repair" linux by breaking grub and downsizing my Ubuntu partition
>>62260358
No matter what I browse on /g/, your desktop always shows up. Here your (You).
>>62261947
enjoy your rootkit
>>62262095
Nothing happened
About 7 years ago on a little laptop I bought just for torrents of movies and music. It was called Conduit and it was a bitch to remove.

windows XP.
>>62260272
When I bought my first laptop it had McAfee Antivirus on it
>>62260272
2009. Some kind of a trojan virus. On the same year I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 alongside getting a new hard drive and that was it.
Currently on Debian, so the closest thing I have to a virus on my machine would be systemd.
DOS 6.22, Natas virus, infected bootsector.
>>62260272
Got careless about six months ago and installed an unverified KMS activator containing a redirect rootkit.
It kept connecting me through a proxy and redirected all searches, regardless of engine, to the creator's custom Google search engine, generating him revenue.
Taught me a lesson about getting too confident.
Well considering i'm on Windows atm, right now... Me has HIVE 7 ATHena bootkit halp
>>62260272
when i was using an antivirus
>>62260272
last time I used windows for anything..
it was XP pre-SP
Getting System Shield and removing it with MalwareBytes
Those were good times.
Back in the late 90s when you could watch porn for a few hours and then after you closed Internet Explorer your desktop would be full of links to porn and gambling websites

When I used to fap to degenerate porn years ago.
Like 2003-4 when the Sasser worm was spreading like wildfire and infected every computer running WinXP or Win2k

>is such a retard he lets his things get bricked
>>62260289
So edgy
>>62266620
Sometimes it's a hardware issue. Many old portable devices may brick due to a flash wearing out.
2012. I was a stupid kid who didn't know how to computer
>Oh, anon, try PirateBay, you will get manny things for freeā¢
>Can't download shit because I am stupid
>youtube.com
>Enlarge your dick 9cm in 3 seconds!!!!
>>62266878
you must be 18 to browse this site
Avira keeps finding PUA/MediaGet.Gen5 in cache files at startup and random times. MB , CCE can't find anything and I already reinstalled Firefox. Nothing unusual in task manager so I'll just bet that it's just Avira sperging up and giving me false-positives.
Never had a virus, but I recently had to remove one on my father's tablet
>hey son there's this screen coming on my tablet saying its the police and I need to pay
>boot into safe mode or whatever the hell it is on the tablet
>immediately notice an application literally named "virus"
>remove application
>it fucking works now
Pajeet's first virus?
>>62260272
Actually never.
I do infect isolated VMs regulary though
Virus never. Worm back in Sasser/MSBlast days.
>>62260272
That time puush was compromised, on the bright side it didn't do much because the server was saturated.
>>62260272
Got some trojan around 7 years ago that pretended to be from the police. Was pretty retarded back then and unaware of the risks of randomly downloading shit.
>>62265657
>>62266324
>>62269125
These, I always update my shit regularly now and I've never had any problems since.
I think 14-15 years ago?
Sandboxie makes cracks amazing. I can verify what happens and what it writes in a sandboxed environment and still use the crack, regardless if it has bullshit on it or not.
That and fileanalyizer means I can look at what gets patched and compare what changed, and finally virustotal. The problem with virustotal and jotti though is so many AVs give false positives because of "hackware" and packers.
>>62260272
I only ever got one, the penis.exe variant of Blaster, it got into my XP Media Center Edition PC I won at the state fair in a giveaway.
>>62269125
Sasser/MSBlast days
i remember, was a fucking nightmare
