Anime is an artistic product, not technology.
Technology is not art, but rather tools that we use to create such art and other tools.
Whatever can be used as a tool for achieving practical results is technology.
You don't use anime as a tool to achieve practical results.
You use it for entertainment.
Anime is not technology.

art is technology
it's a tool to create good feelings, this might not sound practical upon first hearing it, but it is honestly one of the most practical things there are. it can give humans the motivation to create, regular tools like your drill and programming languages are all well and good. but if no one has anything to create then they are useless. thus they pale in comparison to the practicality of anime
anime is technology
if it only has two dimensions it shouldn't be here
