What they'll tell you is, however, somewhat predictable: Anything but a gamer headset.
Likely HD600, HD579, HD558 and SHP9500S in that order.

Cloud2 are the least gaymer out of gaymer headphones. Back when Cloud2 didn't exist, and they were sold as Takstar Pro80 they were already recommended despite not being backed by popular brand yet. So no, you are wrong.
But in general I agree that those are very overrated, but if we are going there, same applies to SHP9500.
Decent headphones start at around $150-200 for open headphones.

I have original Clouds and they're great sounding for the price.

I'm using the red ones since they're open back. they're okay comfort wise, the padding started to hurry after awhile so I got new ones.

The microphone is pretty damn good, best I've heard on a headset. that's just opinion though.
