CM Storm Alcor optical,
relatively cheap, no bloaty driver suite like razer, good sensor and switches.
Pretty basic shape, no logitech or zowie ergonomics, but works well enough.

How outdated is this guide? I've been using a shitty Logitech Anywhere MX that keeps disconnecting during high performance, and I've needed a wired replacement. Should I just do a G500 and be done with it

SteelSeries Rival 500. Feels lovely to use and the extra buttons are great for one handed browsing

Best mouse I've ever had. It's comfy, the quality is great, and you can easily turn off the gamer LEDs.
