If t420 have same specs, you should go for t420, if not then go for x220.
They are both about the same desu, just look into the motherboard features. For example i know it dosent matter that much but one model may have a better sound card but >soundcard
why does that thinkpad have macos on it wtf delet this

Do you want 1366x768 IPS or 1600x900 tn?

Go for the T420, is more expandable than the X220
> You have a DVD+RW drive there
> You can use a second HDD on the Ultrabay slot
> Or a third, if you use an M2 SSD
> The palmrest is bigger, so you have more space there

>t420
>m.2
do you know something we don't anon?

How can you deal with either shitty resolution?
>>62242203
*Sorry, I mean mSATA.
> Just remove your Wi-Fi card and you can put another SSD there in the PCIe .
>>62241440
1080p ips. anything less is cell phone tier.
>>62242272
Depends. A lot of the time the MiniPCI in laptops isn't actually full MiniPCI, it's just the USB pins.
>>62242326
Yes. The speed on the PCI-E slots is lower than the SATA interface.
But it's funny to play with your Chinkpad :3

I have a x220. Mate with dual screen tiling, plus a composting terminal emulator.
>>62242310
I would love 1920x1080, and if I ever did decide to buy a new laptop that would be the minimum. I jewed my x220 together from parts laptops.

Am I wrong if I think that there are two msata slots on the motherboard?
Last time I took mine apart I swear I saw two.
>>62242203
If there is a will...
>>62242381
Msata!=m.2
