Why don't you have an 8K monitor, /g/?
>>62203180
Because I don't get the latest technology. I wait a few years for the prices to drop and performance/quality to get better.
>>62203180
4k is plenty at that size. I'm far more interested in HDR, high contrast, high refresh rate, and improvements in all the other issues inherent to LCDs (BLB, IPS glow, pixel smearing, off-angle color/contrast shifting, etc.). Give me a good, solid 4k display that does all that. Fuck 8k.
>>62203294
This.
>durrr why don't you have what i have durrrrr
>muh pixels
refreshlets, when will they learn
>>62203294
Asus 4K 144hz display wheeeeennn??
>>62203388
Now that I would buy
>>62203367
>he thinks the human eye can see faster than 144hz
>>62203180
>built-in webcam
into the trash it goes
>>62203437
>he thinks that human eye can see
>>62203388
Give me this tech for HDR/high contrast and deep blacks:
http://news.panasonic.com/global/press/data/2016/11/en161128-4/en161128-4.html
Which is probably what they're using in this:
http://www.eizoglobal.com/products/coloredge/cg3145/
Coupled with a high refresh IPS panel (or even better, blue phase: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_phase_mode_LCD), strobed backlight, and variable refresh rate. That would be god-tier for LCD.
As is, a desktop OLED with those specs is more likely at this point.

>edit image on your 8k monitor
>show customer
>they view it on their 1080p monitor
...?
>>62203458
>he thinks the human eye exists
>>62203480
Just turn up the saturation and contrast. They'll be impressed at how good "8k" looks.
>>62203180
>$3,899
FUCKING WAT
>>62203522
That's not really expensive, actually. I mean, sure it's fuckton of money, but it's cheap for next-gen prototype. There was much more expensive monitors that pushed standards.
>>62203522
Camera 8K cost over $50000
Silky smooth 8k 50fps gameplay.

>>62203180
Because it's not 2018 yet?!?
>>62203498
>he thinks the human exist
>>62205588
>he thinks exist
>>62203437
Considering the eye is a piece of optics, there is no limit to the speed at which it registers light. But "seeing" isn't done by the eyes, anyway, it's an act if perception in the brain. Perception doesn't operate at frames per second or frequencies.
>>62203522
That's actually not as bad as I expected it to be. 4K monitors weren't all that far off from there when they first started appearing.
>>62203180
>it has bezels
Disgusting
>>62203180
>LG IPS
NOPE
>>62203180
>32"
why.
I might buy this if it was at least 40".
8k is useless at this size.
>>62205990
what's wrong with LG ips?
