Not really. And if you unlock the bootloader you lose the warranty, you are on your own and LG will not replace your device. So I would advise test it for a while before you do anything. But again its 2k17 maybe you should look for a better device with the same money

I got a bootloop after getting the phone real fucking hot once.
Had the bootloader unlocked (it was the only thing that appeared before the logo and the reboot, so pretty impossible to miss), and I thought I was shit out of luck, but the RMA went through okay and I got a new one.

Wqter resistance is a huge gimmick in my opinion and not worth sacrificing a removable battery. It still has a headphone jack which is good though. Maybe I'm finally going to have to bite the bullet and give up on the removable battery.
