All you AMD poor homos BTFO forever.

Look at that score.
How much is it, around 600W TDP?
>>62203084
You seem jealous.
>that tdp
>>62203053
Now put it at the actual stock frequency it will be running at (for 4 seconds) which is 3.4GHz(same as threadripper), and you got around 3370 score.
That's not even 10% faster than a TR that has 2 less cores.
>>62203053
>200W under load
>>62203053
i9 7980XE:
> 4447 on Cinebench
> $2000
Threadripper 1950X
> ~3400 on Cinebench
> $1000
That's double the price for a 33% performance improvement. For some people that's worth it, but for most people Threadripper is the best deal.
>>62203226
Yeah, the winter is coming and my CPU can't warm up the entire room
>>62203053
>intelfags cherrypick absurd OCs that 99% of them will never reach
Lmao. Enjoy your jizzed on CPU.
>>62203250
And that i9 is with a heavy overclock and probably under LN2. On an AIO I doubt anyone will push beyond 4GHz that the Thrradrippers can easily do, and then it's just 2 more cores.
>>62203226
You seem retarded. Consider suicide.
>>62203053
https://warosu.org/g/thread/S62102717#p62102717
Only 1000 watts(okay, give or take a 170W since it's non-AVX)
>>62203293
>probably under LN2
lmao, if that's true, then that i9 is literal shit, the 1950X under LN2 scored around 4000.
Now show temps
>>62203429
Can't, uploader died in a explosion.
>>62203250
By my simple calculations i9 7980XE only has a __5%__ IPC performance improvement over ThreadRipper 1950X (considering amount of threads and clock).
Awesome for $1000 more in price.
KEK

OP Pic : Overclocking this piece of shit processor from 2.6Ghz to 4.5Ghz to achieve a 4k Cinebench score using insane cooling (not shown : likely LN2) for which the processor still likely shit the bed (see mayo paste thermal interface) all while likely sucking down 300-400 watts (double its TDP). All for double the price of a 1950x.
Meanwhile, the 7900x priced at $1k along w/ a shit chipset X299 needs LN2 cooling to achieve a clock rate of 5.x(Ghz) double its base clock sucking down 300-400 watts to achieve a Cinebench score of 3100... A score that a 1950x gets stock.
Intel BTFO ...
Take this housefire/power plant LN2 bullshit and shove it where the sun don't shine

So all this love from /g/ with AyyMD CPUs....
does anyoe here even own a Threadripper or Ryzen?
I see /g/ posts all the time and 99% of them are Intel chips.
So why do you keep sucking AMDs brown dick?
>>62203321
>>62203660
>>62203731
Well fucking naturally, that's what happens when you push EIGHTEEN cores to 4.5GHz, I'm sure a 1950X won't be much different. It's just a retarded overclock, and obviously the Cinebench score is meaningless as well because no one will or should be running it like that.
>>62204104
YOU SHOULD BE BURNING IN FIRE CAUSED BY 7980XE ALREADY
YOU DUMB

Yes. I do own a threadripper and a ryzen setup. I do development and have linux installed. I also own Intel hardware and Nvidia GPUs. Some people aren't fanboys and go to where the performance/value is.
So, I own a ryzen setup, an intel setup, and a threadripper.
>So why do you keep sucking AMDs brown dick?
I don't suck anyone's dick. Why do I own so much hardware from so many vendors? I'm probing very low level code to find out how to make them suck my dick...
RTG has one chance to get their current GPU interation (Vega) right. So far, it's wrong, consumes to much power, underperforms, the software/driver stack is shit as is their general compute platform RoCm. If they gimp the low end cards to hard, they can go suck a fat one.
Not sure why there aren't more anons like me... I have loyalty to no one.
>>62203053
>It doesn't raise that much temperature
How can this even be true at AVX loads of all things? I'm sure even a delidded 7700K at 4.5 gets pretty damn hot running the latest p95.
>>62204218
Kill yourself you retarded frogposter.
>>62204053
Well exactly, I saw the clocks and literally ignored it. Anything about 4.0Ghz is (auto ignore). That being said, Intel has mayo paste under their heat spreader instead of solder and a much smaller surface area to dissipate heat. There's a reason why the stock clock is 2.6Ghz. Threadripper is 3.4Ghz. They are already far ahead. W/ a $90 cooler Threadripper 1950x goes to 3.9Ghz w/o any thermal issues. One click settings. You're done w/ your Oc in less than a minute.
Otherwise, if you don't OC, it regularly achieves 3.7Ghz across all cores on boost. It's a performer w/ insane value and 20more pci-e lanes than X299/Skylake-x. BTW, only one NVME feeds directly to the CPU on Skylake-x. The other two are fed through the chipset sharing x4 PCIE w/ all your other sata/wireless/ethernet/everything else on the board.
You'd have to be a fuckn idiot fanboy to buy intel this iteration.
The higher the core count the worst skylake-X gets....
