People tend to think that the original Intellimouse was MS's first mouse. It was not.

I've literally never heard anyone say that or ever give that impression.

I have one. Works fine (it actually didn't work well at first but I think that was from a lack of use). Interestingly it uses quite a bit of solid metal components. The ball itself is metal as are the sensors. It also has mini metal roller balls in place of what are typically plastic pads today.

I have.
>>62189986
It's for the original PC, aka 8088 not a 286.
>>62190365
It would work with any PC with the right interface (serial, parallel, inport, etc depending on which one you have).

Gross, bus mice.

Not the point, he obviously thought it was originally made for a 286, why else mention 286? But it was way earlier, before 286.

> design cad 2d on monitor
> muh nigga
i used that program and mouse on a 286 in high school graphics class while everyone else used turbo cad on win 95 machines... i could pump out drawings at least twice as fast as anyone else... software was going backwards even 20 years ago ! still use it today for dimension based drawing and a plotter !

I think you took the comment too literally.

I bet you're not even autistic, 286 is the only "old computer" you know, uh?

This.
MS Mouse protocol has been around forever and predates intellimouse by ages. Whose mice did you think it was for?
>>62192290
That would be a negative. Sorry. That said I don't presently own an XT or older but I know them well.
>>62189932
I had v2 of this mouse, which was electrically the same but had better buttons. It was good.
