Any legit good bike gear? Looking for new low spoke wheels
>>
>>62172015
Probably not worth it. You're probably better off buying a used bike and taking it's parts. My $200 specialized rockhopper pro came with some really nice lightweight wheels.
>>
>>62172015
Bike wheels and tyres are one of the several things I've encountered that aren't really cheaper in chinkshit form.

Is this a good drawing tablet for a beginner? From the reviews I found, it seems to be pretty good, just don't want to get chinked
>>
>>62174563
I would be careful with this one. The actual drawing surface is quite good, particularly for a beginner, but the manufacturing quality is quite low. I ordered one and played with it for a while only to have the bit where the mini-usb connects to the board to break. That part is really fragile, but I have heard who have been using it for a longer so your mileage may vary.

Not exactly the same tablet but I've had a Huion H610 Pro that I picked up 3-4 years ago when it was on sale for $30 cancuckbucks with a bundle of replacement nibs and other free accessories and the only issue that has come up so far is needing to replace the USB cable. Just bought a 10 foot $2 replacement at a local store.
I know two people that have the 1060; one hasn't had any issues so far and the other had a crack develop straight across the drawing surface within a month and made it unusable. It's chinkshit so it's very luck of draw but if you get a good one you're probably set for a while. 100% better than anything you would get from Wacom in this price range.

My Rock Zircons didn't last four months of fairly careful use. I got them from the official AliExpress store. They sounded nice enough while they lasted, much less tinny than $5 Sven earplugs, but there was a constant barely audible hum in the background when I plugged them in. I didn't get the same hum with the Svens or a more expensive pair of Sennheiser earplugs on either my phone or my laptop. Now the jack has totally broken on the Zircons and I don't think it's worth replacing. Overall, I would not recommend them.

Pick the braided and silver-colored one. They are sturdy, not microphomic, and looks great

But if you can solder it yourself, pick canare l2b2t and rean/chink canare 3.5mm jack. I use them and the cable is well shielded, cheap, not microphonic, and take abuse very well
>>
>>62176414
Maybe, but as I said, I didn't hear it with the other two pairs of IEMs, and I did use several sources. Could there be some sort of shielding missing in the Zircons?

I am not going to reassure you on this, if that's what you're looking for. For instance, it could be that the legit Japanese stuff is printed in Japan on Chinese- or Indian-made fabric. You can do some research, but you'll never know conclusively if the fakes are safe even if you find out that the originals are 100% made in China.
>>
>>62176483
The zircons might be more sensitive than the other iems, making them more likely to pick up hiss

>>62176374
>>62176498

>>
>>62176598
I can believe it. I guess this means not all kinds of sensitive are good, because the Sennheisers sound far better to my ears, especially at a low volume, but they don't share this problem.

Redmi 4X at $125 is 720p with 3GB 16GB and SD435. Compare it to Doogee Shoot 1 that is 1080p with 3Gb 32Gb and superior MT6750M.
>>

>>
>>62179015
MT6750M has higher antutu, inb4 it doesn't count because it does.

Doogee Shoot 1 has better display, audio and camera than Redmi 4X, the only thing better for Redmi 4X is that it has a lot of shills.
>>
>>62173247
How's your experience with it so far?
One thing that annoys me is the ui is not as smooth as I expected.
Felt like how my old laptop would be if it was on power saver mode
Is this something I need to get used to with apollo lake?
I take it if 2 finger scrolling is only smooth on edge browser?
>>
>>62179044
But Antutu doesn't matter unless you're a mobile gamer. It's a shitty benchmark all around and you know it.

There are many many things wrong with Mediakek. They never release source so there's never any custom ROMs, companies that use Mediakek are usually less likely to update their phones because they're budget throwaways and there's often battery consumption issues from inefficiencies in the processor.
>>
>>62178914
Why would you get that when the Meizu M5 exists?
>>
>>62179228
FYI my k6000 pro is Mediatek, not a very popular phone because it's from a relatively small brand, and it still gets ROMs.

It also got several updates including a Nougat update.

>Battery consumption inefficiencies
Yes but usually for the same price as a Snapdragon phone you're getting better performance. Check out Helio X20 VS Snapdragon 650, or Helio P20 vs SD625.
>>
>>62179228
It matters if you tax the GPU, like 1080 videos, VR, Google maps. You don't even research these things and all you do is say what you've heard without checking if it is facts. Just stay silent.

It's a $100 phone why do you need custom ROMS when you throw it away after 8 months? After 8 months there will be something better than that Redmi shit you just bought, something made by Xiaomi, oh wait. battery inefficiencies only matter if it is less than 2200mAh, which it doesn't.
>>
>>62179327
1080 videos have hardware decoding with very little power consumption for mtk and SD, MTK has an advantage with Miravision though.

Getting pajeet ROMs on XDA is very different to official Lineage support which guarantees phone support and updates pretty much as long as Lineage exists. Oukitel isn't on the list. Xiaomi, LeEco and other Snapdragon using chink phones are. If you're not a gaymer then you don't need to worry about raw performance. Snapdragon 625 is more than enough power for the majority of people, Snapdragon 820 is there if you need to emulate the GameCube or whatever you kids do.

Google maps and 1080p videos don't tax the GPU. You shouldn't use VR without a 1440p screen at least which none of these cheap chink phones do.

Which would you rather have? Sorry that your Oukitel phone relies on underage pajeet labour and you need to beg for critical bugs to be fixed by Rajeesh on XDA. I've been there with Mediatek phones and i'm not going back to that shit poorfag pajeet life.

Using satellite images on Google maps does, it taxes the GPU in rendering the map. have you even tried playing 1080p Hi10p on your phone with a shitty SD435 SoC?

Shouldn't. Couldn't. Wouldn't. Don't worry, a Mediatek SoC plus 1080p display might not be the best for VR but it's far more bearable than a shitty SD435 and a 720p Redmi screen.

TWO NEW PACKAGES!

Both with really minor meh things: A USB CSR-based Bluetooth-adapter and a USB 2.0 backplate bracket.

...this is why I like chink shit so much. These are both minor things but the very same kind of CSR-chip Blueooth adapter costs $18, not $ 3.50, locally. Same with the USB bracket, it's a $1.19 item on AliExpress and a $15 item locally. The local markup on these things is just crazy.

It's really annoying that I actually needed to buy a Bluetooth-dongle, btw. WHY do I need one? Seriously, WHY? There was a time when you actually needed a add-in card for networking. And you needed a sound-card. That was what, 15 years ago? Even if it's just 10, desktop motherboards have had these and other basic features for a very long time. Would be to much to ask that a $200 motherboard has a integrated bluetooth chip????

Not really, there'll be custom ROMs available for most phones.

Even brands you've never heard of with Mediatek processors have custom ROMs.
Like the PPTV king 7.

Also.
>Helio X30 phones now cost a third as much as Snapdragon 820 phones
Buying a mediatek phone every year to get the latest Android updates is cheaper than waiting for some brand like Xiaomi to release an update list while you pray your device is on there and then upgrading every second year regardless like most people do.

IIRC there isn't separate US, China and Global versions like there was with OP3/3T, just one model.
>>
>>62181874
They were taken apart and you can clearly see two of the drivers don't actually direct sound to the earpiece.
>>
>>62183464
No other good options. I'm heavily considering the mi6, but it seems it's just not worth the trouble (mainly miui).
And yea, the jelly effect sucks, but most say it's not really noticeable

Thanks!

Melamine foam is cheap to make, and has a huge amount of production. They use it for insulation mainly. Sponges can be made from the insulation scraps that they would normally throw away.

Anyone in Canada have the 7W Gongtian USB Rechargeable Fan? The only place I can find it is the "veko_online" seller on ebay and apparently they don't ship to Canada despite being based in the US.
>>
>>62184166
It is, and I'm moving my old TV out there to use with Chromecast.

I need a pair of earbuds with a regular flat "end", like the monks. My monks have internal cable damage near the connector so if I move around with them, the mic dies intermittently. I also need a microphone with it, preferably with a remote, both for android and iphone. Maybe I should just get a separate cable for that, though.

the infographic has more flat earbuds now but i highly doubt you'll find earbuds with controls, there aren't many to begin with and chances are its easier to just buy a pair and recable it with controls

That's not unusual at all.
Most US sellers won't ship to Canada because they don't want to deal with customs paperwork and disputes over customs charges because the leaf government apparently doesn't understand what a free trade agreement is.

The irony is that the only time I pay customs is when I buy stuff from the US. If I buy straight from the chinks, or korea, or japan I've never payed customs.

my laptop arrived as "wire samples" the chinks are good at avoiding taxes worldwide

Thats true for the chink shit but not for korean monitors(for example). Like the last one I bought had the price right on the box I didn't get charged for customs.
>>
>>62185348
American companies can get fucked if they put incorrect declarations too many times, China is halfway across the world and can set up shells at the wave of a hand so they don't care.

I own an OP5. Got it through work. I think it did have the screen mounted upside down. The thing is that none of that shit matters. Either you get a jelly effect one way, or you get stutters the other. You are probably aware that AMOLED aren't exactly marketed for high refresh rates. That's what all of this is about.

If you play first person shooters on your phone I can understand you having issues with a low refresh rates, but otherwise I think that you'll be a lot happier having deeper blackness and generally good color reproduction.

The same issue is there on the S8, for instance. Go to a store and try it out, scroll up and down a lot. Try to "accelerate" your scrolling; move your finger faster at the end than at the start of a swipe.

Note that some people reported issues with the screen protector not fitting right, and the gorilla glass is NOT scratch resistant like they would like you to believe. I've had a leather case that covers it, and it still managed to get a few light-affecting scratches.

>>62183827
Link to it, please? I might need this for projects.
>>
>>62184982
I'll be mostly using them as casual everyday shoes. They look good for that purpose. Sporty, but can be used for casual wear. They will be more comfortable than any non-running shoe because of all the cushioning. I was using nike running shoes last summer as everyday shoes and they were amazingly comfortable, but the look was a bit too sporty, so these will be great all-purpose shoes (walking, running, gym)
