I don't mean for this to be tech support or anything, but I need some help with a VPN since I'm retarded according to what I went through so far. I only need a VPN for torrenting since my ISP is strict about it. I set up qbittorrent with privateinternetaccess following the instructions of using the SOCKS5 authentication. I used the magnet torrent tool on checkmytorrentip and got a different IP address than my current IP address. I figured it worked. I downloaded some shows and movies, but when I checked my email, I received copyright infringements for each movie or show I downloaded. I triple-checked everything I did across multiple guides and I'm not sure what I did wrong. Is it because of the VPN I chose? Did I need to set up the VPN with my entire connection instead? I'm not sure what I should do since I can't switch ISPs.
