I want to go from 8gb ram to 16 gb ram. I now have 2 Corsair Vengeance BLUE 1866Mhz total of 8GB. Which one should I buy to go nicely with these? I can't find the exact same ones so I'm looking for alternatives. What I could do aswell is sell these and buy new ones 14 gb in total.

just get whatever rated for 1866MHz. And for the love of god fix the clocks, every kit runs 9-9-9-24 without issues.

Will that run better?

not really, but it's how every kit is supposed to be running out of the box (motherboards screw those timings along with the frequency for some reason)

Tried to put it to 99924 and blue screen of death

that's some crappy ram
just leave it as is then
note that once you put in whatever kit they may get screwed even more, remember to set them back to that 9-10-9-27

I just want to get rid of this ram and buy a whole new kit total of 14 gb. Do you have any suggestions? I have a GA z77 D3H motherboard and I'm about to overclock my 3570k with a hyper 212 evo. I am using a evga gtx 1060 6gb sc with that and only want to play videogames on ultra in 1080p resolution. I don't mind swapping motherboard for a better one aslong as I get most out of the 1060.

*16gb ram

But why would you want to buy a new kit? Just get the cheapest 8GB 1866MHz stick you can find.
No point getting all new ram (especially since the prices are fucked up) if you're not getting a whole new platform.

Thanks for the help. Should I buy 2 times 4 or is it ok to buy 1 time 8gb?

whatever you're able to find cheaper.

I found a good priced HyperX 4 GB DDR3-1866. Think about buying that one
