I detect a really high pitch noise, but don't know where it's coming from. Just bought a new monitor but this is not the source (checked without). What is the likely cause? GPU? Is 4k too stressful for a gtx 750?
I can't tell if it is constant or not. When I go to another room I can still hear the sound in my head.

I know, but where is it coming from? That is my question...

the only way to be sure is to exclude components until it's gone. It's a good chance it actually is the GPU, though. Mine did that when it was under stress. If you have onboard graphics - just remove the graphics card and use your potato for a while, to see if it still screaches.

have onboard now, still the high pitch. What is the next likely cause?
