Flash Vega 56 to 64 BIOS. Get near 64 performance.

Who cares, you can manually OC it.
And it's still not working properly.
>vega 56 with 64 clocks scores close to a 64
NO SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
>>62163771
But I had 64 performance for close to a year and a half now?
>hey guys, overclocking makes things go faster!
No shit.
>>62163983
Just wait when drivers come out. Then we'll see how smug you are then.
>>62164036
Even smugger?
By then I'd be on 1180.
Wasn't BIOS modding supposed to be impossible because code singing?
>>62163823
you can't because the 56 has lower power limits than a 64. By using the 64 BIOS you get around the power limits.
56 power limit is 210W*1.5 = 315W
64 power limit is 295W*1.5 = 442W
>>62163973
Congratulations on being a moron. Considering Vega 56 has 8 less CUs, it should not score the same as a Vega 64 at the same clocks unless both cards are massively bottlenecked, which this proves.
>>62164806
Did I say it wasn't bottlenecked you fucking retarded?
>>62164810
Fair enough. Apologies for not assuming that much nuance was present in an all-caps shitpost.
>>62163973
ikr, everyone knows it's bottlenecked
>>62164403
Yes, BIOS modding is impossible. Swapping between valid BIOS images is fine though.
>>62164010
It's actually as fast as it's bigger brother.
Mostly due to silly low ALU saturation.
>>62164403
Isn't Vega actually faster when the power limit is reduced because it stops thermal throttling?
>>62163771
>>62165809
no it's faster when undervolted
>>62164889
>oc hbm2
>nothing happens
>bottlenecked
>>62166359
Considering that people have been talking about GCN being front end bottlenecked by only having four geometry engines for literally the entire two years since Fiji was released, and that without primitive shaders Vega has the identical 4 triangles per clock limitation, yes, bottleneck.
>>62166465
you're in every single vega thread, when will you stop shilling already?
>>62165809
when undervolted
>>62166905
>posting facts is shilling
LEAVE AMD ALONE! LEAVE HER ALONE!
>>62166953
oh I'm sure it'll btfo nvidia once those magical drivers drop in about... never
:^)
