New benchmark puts 8700k ahead off ryzen 8 core parts
Single core performance already on par with 7700k or better
http://wccftech.com/intel-core-i7-8700k-cpu-benchmarks-leak-faster-than-8-core-ryzen/
ame was seen in Fritz Chess benchmark, the Core i7-8700K had the best multi-threading score while the Core i7-8700K and Core i7-7700K were close to one another in single threaded tests. Moving to Cinebench R15, the Core i7-8700K with it’s 6 cores was 10 points lower than the 8 core Ryzen 7 1700 in multi-threaded test but was way faster in the single-threaded test. In the older Cinebench R11.5 benchmark, the Core i7-8700K was faster than AMD’s 8 core chip in both single and multi-threading tests

>So the benchmarks compare the Intel Core i7-8700K to the Intel Core i7-7700K, Intel Core i7-7800X and the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. All CPUs were clocked at their stock frequencies and the results in the benchmarks are very interesting. In wPrime, the Intel Core i7-8700K managed to beat every CPU in single thread and even multi-thread performance
So only Intel own 8+ CPUs can manage to beat Intel on miltithread. Consider this CPU overclocked, it's getting better than hedt
Also last but not least:
Intel is releasing ultra low voltages CPUs with 4 cores at 15w

>New benchmark puts 8700k ahead off ryzen 8 core parts
in what? housefires
>Single core performance already on par with 7700k or better
beyond wishful thinking, its lower
>>62155870
well duh they already have 7w dual cores that run at 1.3ghz bclk and turbo to 3.6ghz. 15w isn't a surprise

At stock faggot. Stay mad amdrones.
It's not really hard to find Intel would top ryzen on miltithread, with a miserable IPC increase it was already well ahead amd. With more cores it's flying.
Amd still is the poor man option. When Intel 6 cores arrive, and rivalling prices with 1700, amd is dead again on consumer market
>But muh muh 7nm
It's all vaporware now and I really doubt and will pull this shit b4 2019
>>62155839
Better question, buy a 7th gen or wait for the 8th gen.

>8700k 3.7 - 4.7 GHz
None of this is confirmed.

>chinese rumor mill
Shilltel proclaiming victory before the fucking thing is even out yet, just like Frylake-X.

>amdrones
Endlessly masturbating to rumors presented as fact by WCCFturd makes you a shill, fucknugget.

Boy, sure would be nice to get some official information on these new CPUs
>August 21st presentation is a cringefest, also lol more Kaby Lake Refreshes for laptops
Welp.
