Is installing lineageOS a way to get around needing to use Samsung touchwiz?

Touchwiz > Android 7 imo
But yes you can avoid Touchwiz and its bloat with Lineage.

Touchwiz is proprietary software by Samsung so logically installing any ROM other than Samsung's or derivatives will not have this.
If this reasoning is already hard then I wouldn't suggest installing a custom ROM, though

touchwiz isn't a fork of android, it's just five layers of bullshit on any android, including 7.

t. retard
touchwiz is a fork of the android input stack
they are going against the open standards and protocols of a open ecosystem
they break components and want a monopoly
people like them are the reason why we see so much fractions with OEM android implementation
if everyone shipped vanilla AOSP we wouldnt need LineageOS but now it looks to be our last hope with TWP recovery and Magisk with F-droid

Yes. You can even avoid the Google bloat by not installing Gapps.
Just use the following links if you absolutely need any Google apps like the Play Store.

Oops! Forgot to remove my trip! Sorry, I'm such a faggot sometimes.

its not a fork of android but it does deviate from the input layer in a non open environment which prevents a lot of inconsistancies for devs and also the modding community
they also arent giving back updates which could improve androids input.
the OS that made them what they are today

yalpstore and raccoon apk download are both other alternatives that are open sourced code

What good is pulling proprietary apks with a FOSS application? F-droid or bust.

Do you happen to know any app to auto-download and install updates on apps without manually downloading and updating the app?
